Basic Charges:
We charge time by the hour, in 1/10th
hour increments (6 minutes). There is no minimum daily
charge. Field investigation charges will not exceed 8 hours
(plus travel time) in any one day.
Deposition and Testimony:
Deposition and trial preparation is
charged hourly at the appropriate functional rate above.
Appearance at deposition and trial are charged at the Expert
Rate of $200.00/ hour, in half day ($800.00), or full day
($1,600.00) increments.
Travel:
Travel time to and from site inspections,
depositions, and trials will be charged at the appropriate
functional rate above, and will not exceed one hour in each
direction. Mileage will be charged at the IRS allowable
rate of $0.55/ mile from Riverside California, and
will not exceed 100 miles in each direction, unless negotiated
in advance.
Out-of-Office Services and Materials:
Outside
services or consultants will be charged at cost plus ten
percent (10%). Examples of outside services include equipment
rentals, photo reproduction, extensive document reproduction,
printing, travel and lodging, long distance communications,
and specialty consultants.
Budgets:
Every attempt will be made to provide
a reliable budget for our activities based on the scope
of the assignment (on a phase-by phase basis), and any increases
in scope or price will be discussed in advance of performing
additional work.
Invoicing:
Invoices are normally produced monthly
and are payable within 30 days of receipt unless other arrangements
are made in advance.
